THE CHALLENGE
Selling an international smart technology product into Australia involves much more than making the initial sale.
For Strawberry Energy, the challenge was having a reliable local partner who could manage customers, logistics and installations while also staying connected with their team overseas.
The Smart Solar Benches combine solar power, public seating, device charging, connectivity and smart technology, so customers also need support after the product arrives.
With councils and other organisations spread across Australia, Strawberry Energy needed someone on the ground who could manage the relationship locally and step in when something needed attention.
WHAT WE DID
We became the local point of contact for Strawberry Energy and its Australian customers.
We managed customer communication, meetings, orders, freight, local contractors and installation, while working closely with the Strawberry Energy technical team in Europe when technical support was required.
We have supported installations for councils, school and universities including Newcastle University, Banyule City Council and the City of Stonnington, as well as various events such as Origin Energy’s annual activation at the SCG.
Our role has included:
- Managing communication between customers and the manufacturer.
- Coordinating freight, deliveries and local contractors.
- Managing installations and onsite support.
- Working with Strawberry Energy's technical team to resolve issues.
- Providing ongoing customer support and updates.
- Feeding Australian customer and market feedback back to the manufacturer.
This means the customer has one local point of contact rather than having to manage an overseas manufacturer, freight company and local installation team themselves.
THE RESULT
Strawberry Energy has been able to develop its Australian market with a local partner that can manage the commercial and practical side of projects from start to finish.
For customers, it provides confidence that there is someone in Australia who understands the product and can respond quickly when support is needed.
